About Nicole Carr
Nicole Carr Nicole Carr is the Interim Executive Director of the American Humanist Association, Editor of the Humanist magazine, and Senior Editor of TheHumanist.com. Prior to joining the staff at the AHA, she worked in development and communications for arts and education non-profit organizations in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland. Carr received a BA in English from the University of Pennsylvania and an MA in English and Feminist Literature from the University of Virginia.
About Bettianne Hedges
Bettianne Hedges is the Executive Director of Humanist Canada. She holds a BA in Philosophy from the University of Waterloo, a certificate in Adult Education from the University of Calgary, and has worked or has been a governance volunteer in many not for profit organizations especially the arts, in Southwestern Ontario. She is also a humanist officiant.
