Coffee Chat: George Floyd to Black Gen Z

A lot has happened in the last two years that people outside Black communities do not understand. This coffee chat will be an opportunity to get clear on the issues that you feel uncomfortable asking your neighbours, friends, or colleagues.
Kathleen Johnson is a diversity and inclusion specialist who coaches marginalized professionals, entrepreneurs, and artists. She writes and speaks on various platforms about diversity issues. Kathleen founded a group on Facebook called Critical Black Thought Society with almost 400 members, and is the Alberta Representative for Humanist Canada. This past October she represented the Humanist position at the World Religions Conference on Racism. Kathleen was born and raised in Calgary, and is a first generation Canadian. Her parents are from Grenada, West Indies; they immigrated to Canada in the early 1970’s. Kathleen has 5 children and 1 fur baby. This past election she ran for office. She has a passion for writing and speaking about diversity issues and music.
