Ceremonies for all Occasions

The role of ceremonies is to ‘make special’, to recognize the importance of an event to individual people and their communities. There are many ceremonies in many cultures that seek to recognize life transitions beyond birth, marriage, and death.

Coming-of-age ceremonies celebrate the transition of a young person from childhood into the world of adult responsibilities; Healing ceremonies can help to resolve differences between individuals and/or between communities; Parting Ceremonies can help to ease the transition of divorce for family and friends; a pantheon of holiday occasions can be recognized as markers of natural events in the form of solstice and equinox ceremonies.

Humanist Officiants recognize the value of these ceremonies and can also help you create ceremonies for your own unique traditions.
